Mizuno have launched a new line of their M.Craft putters, the City collection. Forged in Japan, there are four putters in the series two blades and two mallets. Each model in the collection is named after a Japanese city and are feature stops on the infamous bullet train line.

Mizuno has enhanced their M.Craft series with a fresh line featuring Japanese 1025E carbon steel forged construction. The Nagoya B putter, positioned as the mid-mallet in this lineup, is a face balanced design.

When you look down at this putter, it feels very appealing – there’s a clean, uncluttered appearance. The textured face helps promote a smooth roll, balancing feel and performance.

The grip, a Lampkin Deep Etched model, offers a rustic aesthetic that complements the blend of tradition and cutting-edge innovation embodied by the club.

First Impressions

Having tested the Mizuno M.Craft P4 model last year and loved using it, I was excited to see what Mizuno had to offer for 2026.

The Nagoya is a mid-mallet shape. The forged silver design looks great with a single alignment line on the top and a deep grinding pattern face. The standard grip is a Lampkin deep etched, that has a rustic look that adds to Mizuno’s desire to blend heritage and modern innovation.

Straight away, the head cover is a same great feel and design as the previous model. It has a real durable feeling on the outside with a fluffy inner and a magnetic fasten.

NCG Verdict

I was really excited to take this putter out on the course. Firstly, I will say that this putter comes with weights underneath that can be changed. I tested this putter with 10’s at the bottom which felt like a nice weight. These weights can be altered to match the players desired centre of gravity and desired head weight.

The Nagoya is a face balanced mid-mallet putter. Out on the course, I could really feel the stability in my stroke with this putter. This putter is forged from pure 1025E carbon steel, aimed at producing a pure and responsive feel which it absolutely does. The deep grinding pattern on the face creates a smooth roll straight off the face.

Mizuno M.Craft Nagoya Putter

The putter is fit with a Lampkin Deep Etched grip that has a rustic look. It’s a thinned style than on the previous years M.Craft but I think it works really well. I enjoyed the rougher feel as it felt like I has great control. It would also be great if caught in the rain.

The Nagoya putter comes in both left and right handed as well as slant or double bend neck. I tested the double bend neck ‘Nagoya B’. It is also available in graphite or nickel designs.

Overall, I enjoyed using this putter and for those who prefer a mallet design it is definitely worthy of consideration.
