NCG SUMMARY
The Zoom Old Pro is a small compact piece of equipment that is easy to use, featuring a whole load of technological features. Then again you would expect that looking at the price.
The laser has a slope feature, which is particularly insightful and useful for keeping the ball on the green. It’s certainly a high-end piece of equipment.

First Impressions
I was initially impressed and pleased with the size of the device. It was too bulky and could easily fit in you pocket if you wanted it to, although there is no need to as it comes in a case that can be clipped to your bag. Additionally, the device itself can be attached to the metal sections of your cart bag, due to its impressive magnet hold feature.
The case itself featured an appealing colour scheme that matched the colour of the device – black, red and white.
I had no issues with setting up the device, it could be any simpler really, press the on button. The other features, such as the slope mode, were easier to use and activated as well.
NCG Review
Although I own a rangefinder, I am a fairly inexperienced user of one. So, the flagpole scanning mode was a huge help to me in correctly picking up the right distance to the hole. The vibration when you have located the flagstick and not something 20 yards further back behind the green is a great reassurance that you can trust the yardage when you swing the club.
The Zoom Oled Pro laser also comes with an adjustable focus. This is a great feature to be able to pinpoint exact distances easier and reliably. The focus is quick and easy to use, and I thought it was effective in gaining helpful yardages to make club choices easier.
Shots into the green were made easier, in my experience, due to the Golf Slope mode. Again it was easy to activate, with just a slide of a button. Whilst in slope mode, both the adjusted distance and the actual distance will be visible for you to see. It was great for approach shots, especially with a shorter club in hand as for the more accomplished golfers it gives you a great indication of how much extra distance you need to add or take off your shot. Usefully, this option can be switched off if you are playing competitively to ensure you conforming to the rules of golf. Slope technology is fairly standard in the market.

The brightness is also adjustable so that the Zoom Oled Pro laser is able to operate to it’s fullest in any light conditions.
The Zoom Oled Pro also comes with an extensive manual guide, which is extremely helpful to get to grips with the different technological features, although they are simple to operate.
Cost is maybe a point of concern for most. The Zoom Oled Pro is quite expensive especially if you are a casual golfer and don’t play that often. Some of the features, in some sort of guise, can be found in cheaper alternatives.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I was really impressed with the Zoom Oled Pro. Its pleasing to look at and can be stored simply enough in different parts of your golf bag or cart bag. For those wanting to spend a little more on adding to your golf equipment to improve your game then it is definitely a great option. After all, Zoom say that the Oled Pro is a game-changer.
