PeakPulse Rangefinder Golf Laser Review: NCG Summary

NCG SUMMARY
If you’re looking for a cheaper rangefinder this is a great option. It’s lightweight, easy to use and comes with a sturdy carry case.
Having tested the numbers against my current Bushnell they were pretty spot on and this PeakPulse laser also provides slope.
PROS
- Accurate numbers
- Lightweight
- Solid carry case
CONS
- A lot of modes not needed
First Impressions
Straight out of the box this laser looked like most others that you would find on the market but for a much lower price. I was impressed with how robust it felt to hold with curved areas for the fingers to sit comfortably.

I liked that this Peak Pulse laser came with a very sturdy hard case. Inside is an elasticated strap that you can use to secure the laser. This comes with a clip that means it can be easily attached to your golf bag. It is also small enough to slot into your bag if that’s what you prefer. The device itself is also very lightweight and so it’s ideal for anyone who carries their bag.
On course testing
Out on the course the first few goes at using it was a little blurry and I questioned the quality. However I found that you can actually adjust the lense to create your required focus after doing this it became so clear view.
This Peak Pulse laser comes with a range of different modes including slope. I was really impressed with the slope setting which was easy to turn on and off.

This rangefinder does come with a vibration confirmation for if you lock in a flag. Unfortunately I found that it often vibrated even if it had picked up something in the background such as a random tree. Whilst it’s not overly difficult to work out when near a distance marker that you’ve picked up the wrong object it is just frustrating not having that instant confirmation that you can trust.

When playing I did test the numbers this laser gave in comparison to my current Bushnell. I was impressed that each time they matched or within a yard.
This laser unlike most is chargeable. There is a battery life gauge to show you how much charge is left. I’ve used this laser for about 6 rounds so far and there is still a full battery showing.

Whilst it’s great that there’s 4 mode options, I think for a lot of golfer’s this isn’t necessary. I just stuck to mode 1 when I was playing and it worked perfectly fine. There is a slope option to be used in more casual rounds but generally mode 1 worked well.
Overall, this is a great budget laser that gives you all the info that you need without spending the unnecessary pounds.
