To me, Mizuno is synonymous with quality. Anything with their logo on it is worthy of a close look so I was delighted to have the opportunity to review the BR-D3 stand bag. It is available in many colours. I tested the black camo/copper one and it looked absolutely stunning. The camo is more subtle in real life than either my photos or the Mizuno website photos show. Those with more conservative tastes will still find this appealing. The copper is a very nice touch.
The bag itself is a small to medium bag. On the card that comes with it, Mizuno have created a scale from cart to carry and this is weighted towards carry. I concur with this and I think this is pretty much the perfect size for a carry bag.
This was confirmed by the extreme comfort of carrying it. The 4 point adjustable strap made it easy to balance the bag and the strap itself I found to be particularly comfortable.
There is a 4-way top cuff with an integrated grab handle. There are 2 full length dividers which are just the right balance of separating your clubs without the compartments being too tight.
There are the usual pockets you would expect: a full length apparel pocket, a smaller apparel pocket, fleece lined valuables pocket (with waterproof zip), large ball pocket, small accessory pocket and cool pocket.

Inside there are easy access mesh pockets, a pen holder, nice-looking carabiner and a velcro glove holder are other features.
One feature which initially perplexed me was the zip-off ball pocket panel. After a little digging I discovered this is so it can personalised, embroidered for example. A clever touch.
NCG Verdict
In use this bag is hard to fault.
The hip pad makes carrying it very comfortable. For whatever reason I found this to be a really well-balanced bag. Its size makes it versatile. Large enough for a full set of clubs and clothes and accessories as well as being small enough to use for a half set.
The base has a depression to allow it to sit neatly on a trolley should you wish to use it that way. This for me is another plus as some carry bags are almost unusable on a trolley.
Mizuno BR-D3 Stand Bag 2024 – Final Thoughts
This is a great looking and great performing bag.
There was nothing on the website to say whether it is waterproof so I have to assume it is not a fully waterproof bag. The zips would suggest it is not.
Other than that I would recommend this as a carry bag.
