These premium looking irons, finished in chrome on the back and inside the cavity badge. The shallow face and head size allows adds to what Ping believe is an eye-catching and comfortable for golfers at address.

Equipped with a cavity back design these irons are all about improving distances whilst ensuring a level of consistency and forgiveness most club golfers search to find more greens. The longer irons have technological additions that help launch the ball high up in the air and provide a more consistent gapping of distances.
Included in the set are different lofted wedges that is to help simplify wedge choices, which can be a tricky decision knowing what lofted wedges could help maximise your game.
Ping G440 Irons: The Technology
An increase in ball speed off the face of the irons has been increased after Ping made the face of the irons nine per cent thinner than previous generations. This also provides that tour-preferred players’ iron look at address that many club golfers also tend to favour. The clubs don’t look as bulky when stood over the ball that what some game-improvement irons do.

Saving weight in the face of the irons enables a higher MOI and level of forgiveness. The height and weight reduction saves approximately 4g per iron which has been moved further back and lower in the head to ensure the irons are forgiving.
Cavity back irons have historically been associated with higher handicap golfers, but that has changed slightly over the last few years and these Ping G440 irons are no different. The added forgiveness they provide is too good to turn down for most club golfers, even a lot of Tour players game cavity backs.

The 4-piece molded PurFlex cavity badge in the Ping G440 irons is a more flexible design than previous models had resulting in more ball speed and an enhanced feel and sound.

In terms of the wedges in the set, Ping have reduced the options from five to four, PW, UW, 52°, 56°, to make wedge selection that bit easier. The 56° is designed to make bunkers an easier challenge for all level of golfers as its bounce profile, sole design, and hosel shape is inspired by the EYE2 sand wedge.
