A hole-in-one with your first shot back? Golfers share their tales of being out on the course again

Golfers in England returned to the course as clubs reopened following the easing of the lockdown. And there was even a maiden ace for one lucky punter

Golf is back – and you couldn’t wait to share your joy at getting back to playing the sport you love.

Clubs in England reopened today for the first time in nearly two months after the UK government eased some elements of the coronavirus lockdown.

Precious spots went in minutes in the face of unprecedented demand all over the country and, socially distanced of course, golfers flocked to their course to tee it up on re-opening day.

Plenty of you took to social media to spread the happiness and here are some of the best posts we’ve seen as golf gets back to business.

And how about this for a way to get cracking?

This sums up how we all feel today…

And a calmer way of making the same point…

Class is permanent.

Someone’s excited…

It doesn’t get much better than that…

Cameras and live on the Beeb. Who’s topping this about five yards?

Hilarious…

Thanks for everything you are doing…

Just the sort of shot you want to face after two months away…

Even the pros are finding it tough…

Have you played golf today? Let us know how it went in the comments, or tweet me.
