All the Gear: New Titleist DT TruSoft launched

It has been a fairly busy week considering we haven’t had many new equipment launches that we are allowed to talk about yet.
We’ve been down in London checking out some new Cobra gear…

Back up in Yorkshire we have been testing out the new Cleveland CBX wedges for a feature on the performance of cavity back versus blade wedges…

Here are a few of the new gear releases you may have missed over the past week:
New Titleist DT TruSoft golf ball
Many players crave a ball that is soft-feeling around the greens but still goes miles off the tee.
And there are plenty who want top performance at a friendly price point.
The new Titleist DT TruSoft is ticking all of those boxes.
DT TruSoft was first introduced two years ago as a replacement for DT SoLo – the SoLo stood for soft and long.
The new model certainly aims to still deliver on those fronts. And it comes in yellow – an added bonus for winter golf.
There’s a low compression core which is larger to help keep spin down with driver.
And added soft feel comes from a new ‘TruFlex’ cover which should improve short game performance.
Titleist say they have also improved the aerodynamics for a truer ball flight.

Ping launch 2017 autumn/winter range
We’ve seen Ping’s golf clothing go from strength to strength since they brought the design and production in-house a few years ago.
And their 2017 autumn winter gear highlights their commitment to the latest technologies while keeping fresh, youthful look.

Standout items include the Zero Gravity Tour waterproof suit. We saw the Zero Gravity jacket last year but now have a full suit.
The materials are super-stretchy, light and breathable while both the jacket (£180) and trousers (£130) have the bonus of folding away into their own pockets.
The Norse jacket (£140) is something a bit new and will add a bit of style while keeping you nice and warm on those chilly early tee times. It is also water resistant.

FootJoy DNA Helix now available
Those with good memories will remember when we first reviewed the FootJoy DNA Helix golf shoes back in June.
They weren’t expected to be on sale until October but there’s good news folks – you should be able to get hold of them now after they arrived earlier than expected.
We feel they take the best bits of the DNA and the spikeless Pro SL.
They were more comfortable than the Pro SL in our opinion and offered fantastic stability.
