Equipment: Yonex Ezone XPG High Draw Driver launched
The Yonex Ezone XPG Type HD driver is the largest and most-forgiving model the premium Japanese brand has produced.
Despite using premium components and technologies, the Yonex EZone XPG Type HD driver, is still reasonably priced at under £300 – and it should help higher handicap and senior golfers get a bit more distance with their drives.
The new driver sits alongside the impressive EZone XPG driver but has lower and deeper centre of gravity for more forgiveness and a higher launch.
The Carbon Crown Composite structure reduces the weight in the crown, allowing an 8 gram tungsten weight to be positioned at the rear of the sole.
A further 13.5 gram weight has been placed inside the head to achieve the optimum CG.
More weight in the head is offset by Tungsten in the grip so the club still feels light and easy to swing.
Yonex are graphite shaft specialists and have a range of lightweight options available to help golfers increase their swing speeds.
There’s eight settings in the adjustable hosel to fine-tune ball flight with loft adjustable +/- by 1.5˚ and a range of face angle settings.
The EZone XPG driver will still be available in 2017 along with the fairways, hybrids, irons and putters.
