Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 ball: Everything you need to know
You don’t have to swing as fast as a tour pro to get the benefits associated with playing a tour ball. Let’s take a closer look at the Srixon Q-Star Tour 4 golf ball…
Srixon Q-Star Tour 4: The technology
The Q-Star Tour is Srixon’s softest golf ball with tour-level performance. It is designed for players who have a moderate swing speed and want the distance and spin a tour calibre ball provides.
At the heart of the golf ball we have the FastLayer core, by moving from a soft centre to a firmer outer edge Srixon can provide distance and soft feel.
The urethane is coated with slide ring material (SeRM) which has flexible molecular bonds with moveable cross-links. These work like tiny ropes which help distribute loads evenly across the molecular chain that makes up the urethane cover. This means the urethane is more elastic which allows it to expand into your wedge and iron grooves for increased friction and more spin when attacking the pins.
The Srixon Q-Star Tour is designed to give you a penetrating ball flight. This is achieved thanks to the 338 speed-dimple pattern which increases lift and reduces drag to also maximise distance.
One the side we see a new longer alignment aid to help you line up those all important putts. It will be available in pure white as well as tour yellow.
