Rose and Garcia lead as Spieth closes in at Augusta

What a final day we're in for at the Masters, where the final two groups will feature Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, with leaders Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia.

Justin Rose will go into the final round of the 2017 Masters in pole position as he bids to make it back-to-back English winners at Augusta after a brilliant third-round 67.

Rose will tee off alongside Ryder Cup team-mate Sergio Garcia after the Spaniard carded a round of 70 which concluded with an impressive par save at the last.

The leader after the first two rounds, Charley Hoffman, still finds himself within touching distance after a final round of level par and the American will still fancy his chances tomorrow if he can get off to a good start.

Jordan Spieth showed the form that we all expect from the 2015 champion. A magnificent round of 68 puts him in the penultimate group tomorrow alongside good friend Rickie Fowler who had a steady round of 71 to finish just one back of the lead at five-under par.

Spieth’s dominance of Augusta over the last three years showed today as he steadily climbed his way up the leaderboard. His bogey at 16 was the only blemish on his card all day.

Thomas Pieters, Lee Westwood and Adam Scott are all within five shots of the lead and will be hoping for a big push tomorrow afternoon aswell as a bit of help from the leaders.

Elsewhere, Rory McIlroy’s hopes of a Green Jacket and career Grand Slam looks set to be put on hold for another year after another frustrating day for the four-time major winner.

Despite a round of 71, McIlroy never really got going and missed numerous chances to get closer to the lead. He finds himself six shots back and needs to produce one of his best ever rounds to stand a chance.
