England Golf in kit partnership
The New Year has brought a fresh new look for England Golf’s top players.
The golf union has entered into a partnership with TaylorMade-adidas Golf, who are now England Golf’s official sponsor for apparel, footwear, golf balls and accessories.
England Golf’s chief executive is David Joy and he said: “We believed this new relationship will not only provide our players with the best product but also a partner who can work with uses we strive to meet our ambitions to get more people playing golf more often, increase the number of club members and support stronger clubs.”
Players from England Golf’s national squads were given a preview of the equipment at December’s England Golf coaching conference, when they were fitter for their kit. Some swapped the fairway for the catwalk and strutted their stuff to show off the new look to guests at an awards dinner.
‘Our partnership provides us with a great opportunity to support the game’ The players were also able to step aboard the TaylorMade Tour Truck and find out how the company supports stars like Justin Rose and secures the status of Number One Driver on Tour.
David Silbers is managing director of TaylorMade-adidas Golf and said: “Our partnership with England Golf provides us with a great opportunity to support the game at all levels and deliver on our long-term commitment to grow and develop the amateur game while in turn building a stronger relationship with golfers.
“Everyone here is really looking forward to working with England Golf, not only ensuring their players receive the best support possible, but also in activating the future plans of their wider strategy to grow the game.”
