Equipment news: Motocaddy to sponsor PGA EuroPro Tour

Leading trolley brand to continue association with EuroPro Tour

Motocaddy will continue for a ninth consecutive year as ‘Official Electric Trolley’ of the PGA EuroPro Tour.

The announcement was made prior to the tour’s opening event of the season at The Belfry which took place from April 15-17.

Motocaddy will provide support at all 17 events on this year’s PGA EuroPro Tour schedule, which also includes other prestigious venues such as Burhill, The Carrick Loch Lomond, Prince’s, Moor Allerton and Slaley Hall.

Screened on Sky Sports, the 2014 PGA EuroPro Tour will reward each event winner with a £10,000 first-placed prize, plus a new Motocaddy trolley for them to use.

“We’re delighted to extend our relationship with Motocaddy into a ninth season and look forward to another successful year with its expert backing,” said PGA EuroPro Tour MD Eddie Hearn.
The pedigree of the EuroPro Tour is there for everyone to see and the quality of golf on display gets stronger every year “A lot of our players use a Motocaddy trolley when competing because they value the reliability and quality of features on offer.”

The top-five finishing players on the final PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit earn a Challenge Tour card – a route to stardom that was taken by Major winners Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen.

“The pedigree of the EuroPro Tour is there for everyone to see and the quality of golf on display gets stronger every year,” said Motocaddy Chairman David Wells.

“We’re excited to renew our agreement with the Tour and look forward to working with their talented players, who continue to provide us with feedback that helps shape our product development.”
