Equipment news: FootJoy launch new DNA range
FootJoy have launched the latest shoe in the DryJoys range, the FootJoy DNA (DryJoys Next Advancement) model.
The latest model will keep all the tried and tested elements of the DryJoy shoe, but features a range of new cutting edge components which sets the model apart from previous ranges.
“Each material and component was carefully considered in order to deliver a shoe with lightweight stability, a custom-like fit, superior feel and ultimate performance,” said FootJoy’s vice president of design and development Doug Robinson.
The new DNA range has five key new features.
– A 3D foam collar which moulds to your ankle to create a premium fit with extra comfort and support. The collar prevents movement around the ankle which removes discomfort during the swing.
– A snug fit tongue which is made of soft, breathable materials which conform to the top of your foot.
– The all-new NitroThin TPU outsole is a super thin, strong outsole that frames the internal midsole to deliver both stability and flexibility.
A variety of Tour players including Adam Scott, Webb Simpson and Jordan Spieth have already worn the shoes, with the range available to buy from March 2014. – The internal midsole is made from FTF (Fine Tuned Foam), which is a state-of-the-art cushioning material. It helps to create in-shoe stability along with maximum comfort and cushioning.
– The shoe outer is made from ChromoSkin leather, which is light, durable and completely waterproof. The premium leather also ensures maximum breathability.
