Customise your Callaway driverMay 31, 2012 Golf Equipment
The new uDesign customisation tool from Callaway allows you to change everything from shaft to clubhead colour…
CALLAWAY have launched a new customisation tool that allows users to personalise their Razr Fit driver.
The online uDesign process lets you select different colours for the Razr Fit’s clubhead and grip, and also change the shaft.
There are eight different sole colours to choose from, and Callaway say this means there are thousands of unique combinations available. The process is ideal for supporting your favourite sports team or co-ordinating the colours of your bag.
Indeed, Phil Mickelson chose powder blue and gold on his customised driver to honour his beloved San Diego Chargers, while big-hitting spaniard Alvaro Quiros went a step further. “Give me one in every colour and I will match my driver with my apparel,” said the charismatic 29-year-old.
The process is very quick and easy to follow. You start by selecting the clubhead – pick your gender, dexterity, loft and sole colour, then you’re on to shafts. Once you’ve picked the flex (it’s a good idea to get custom fitted at a Callaway stockist beforehand to make sure you get this right), you are presented with a range of models in different colours. Select your grip and make amendments to club length and grip wrap and you’re away.
Some of the more exotic shafts require upcharges so prices vary, but changing the colour of the sole adds £40 to your bill.
