What’s in Angel Cabrera’s PGA Tour winning bag?
Angel Cabrera used the brand new Ping G30 driver and 3-wood as part of his set-up to triumph at the Greenbrier Classic.
The 44-year-old Argentine recorded a two shot victory over American George McNeill after shooting consecutive six-under 64s over the weekend.
In the final round he averaged 331.6 yards and hit two drives on the par 4 16th and par 5 17th that measured 329 yards and 337 yards. He was also tied 4th in driving accuracy.
Cabrera admitted the win has been a long time coming and was relieved to get his first victory since the 2009 Masters.
“This was a great opportunity,” he said.
“I wanted it. I needed to win a tournament. I felt under control today out there, and I didn’t want to let it get away from me.”
