Wales: Ballesteros gives a hand to Langland Bay
The Seve Ballesteros Foundation has chosen to support Langland Bay and has donated a sculpture of the legendary Spaniard’s hands to the club.
Langland Bay captain Tony Lovell was presented with the limited edition sculpture by Carmen Ballesteros, Seve’s daughter, and it will auctioned at a fund-raiser later this year.
PGA director of golf Andrew Minty said: “It’s a great honour to be associated with such a charity and the legend that is Seve.
“We have a number of events this year, including another celebrity event, new social events and tournaments. Another busy year, but it will be well worth it.”
‘It is a great honour to be associated with the legend that is Seve’ Ballesteros set up the foundation in 2009 with the aim of raising money for scientific research into curing brain cancer. It works with some of the best scientists and institutes in the world.
Carmen Ballesteros will visit Langland again in the summer to make the presentation of the sculpture.
