Garmin launch new ultra-thin GPS smartwatch
Garmin have unveiled their latest GPS smartwatch which combines built-in tracking apps with Garmin’s GPS technology.
The vívoactive allows golfers to download more than 38,000 automatically updating course maps via the vívoactive’s golf app.
Using GPS, the watch is able to measure layup and dogleg distances and distances to the front, middle and back of the green, with the aim of improving player usability over the entire hole.
The device also allows players to keep individual stroke play scorecards and measure shot distance on favourite and new courses.
Water-resistant to 50m, the device is ideally suited to the golfer, who plays in all conditions.
Battery life lasts up to three weeks in standard watch mode or 10 hours whilst in activity tracking mode whilst using GPS, meaning the vívoactive is capable of lasting an entire round with ease.
The device is available in a wide range of colours, with interchangeable watchbands and new downloadable watch faces available via the Garmin online store.
The watch itself is available in black or white, but users can add a personal touch with colourful interchangeable watchbands and free downloads from the Connect IQ store.
The vívoactive can also be used for other sports and activities to help the user maintain and active and healthy lifestyle.
