About David Leadbetter
Born in Worthing, West Sussex, David Leadbetter moved into coaching after a relatively unsuccessful playing career on the European Tour.
With a passion for the technique and mechanics of the golf swing, Leadbetter became a household name in the 1980s when he worked with Nick Faldo, who went on to win six major championships under his stewardship.
Other Leadbetter students include Greg Norman, Ernie Els, Nick Price, Charles Howell III, Michelle Wie, Lydia Ko and Byeong Hun An.
Leadbetter also runs a chain of golf academies across North America, Europe and Asia, headquartered at Champions Gate Golf Club near Orlando, Florida.
