The Russian Open marks the first qualifying event for the 2016 Ryder Cup but we’ve not really seen any hopefuls for Darren Clarke’s team making the trip to Moscow.
Make no mistake, this is a less than stellar field – but there are plenty of chances to pick up a few players vying for a placed finish.

But, after picking out Thorbjorn Olesen for a place at 80/1 last week we’ll do our best to find another player to finish in the money this week.
It’s no surprise to see David Horsey lead the betting after his win two weeks ago but that does give you an idea of the strength of this field.
He did also win this event last time around.
If you want to back Horsey on the nose then you’ll do well to get odds better than 14/1.
A name which jumps out instantly at us is Edoardo Molinari. He’s a proven winner on the European Tour and although not in any great form, he found a purple patch in September last year with three top 15s on the spin.
Similar thinking to our Olesen pick last week.
Another player worth considering is England’s Sam Hutsby who finished just outside the top 10 last week and is good value at 80/1.
He also won on the Challenge Tour this time last year at the Kazakhstan Open – a tidy each-way bet would suffice on the young Englishman.
