How to hit a fade with a long iron

Get out of sticky situations with this shot

Ever get yourself into sticky situations out on the course – with an obstacle in your way?

A simple little shot that will have you getting out of trouble and back in scoring contention.

Standard long iron setup – ball position 2/3rd’s into into stance, with your feet parallel to the initial ball target line.

Our shoulders will need to be slightly open, and to fade we will want to have our shoulders facing slightly left of target to help adjust our swing plane and get the ball moving left of the intended target, then curve to the right.

Kim Crooks demonstrates how to play this and the on-course usage.
