American Golf appoints the Golf Foundation

Children's charity will this year be supported by leading retailer.

Europe’s largest golf retailer American Golf is proud to announce that it will be supporting the Golf Foundation this year.

Daniel Gathercole is head of marketing at American Golf and said: “We’re real admirers of the work that the Golf Foundation does. Golf has been an important part of my life since I was seven years old so, like a lot of the staff here, I want as many children as possible to experience the same sense of enjoyment that I did teeing off on my local course.

The Golf Foundation will be the sole beneficiary of profits from several events that American Golf will be launching later this year, including the first American Golf Junior Championship.
‘We’re real admirers of the work the Golf Foundation does’ Sarah Tennyson, marketing manager at the Golf Foundation, said she is excited to see where the partnership can lead.

She added: “We have been impressed to learn about the initiatives that American Golf is launching this year and are delighted that they have been chosen to support us. We are sure that working in partnership we will identify many new mutually-beneficial opportunities in the year to come.”

American Golf is working at the centre of the game to develop new initiatives and build relationships to enable more people than ever to have access to golf. As well as supporting the Golf Foundation and launching its own junior championship later this year, American Golf will also continue to work with the golf Armed Services’ charity, the On Course Foundation.
