50 EAST SUSSEX NATIONAL
Sitting in the heart of the county, East Sussex National comprises two magnificent championship 18-hole layouts. Its four-star hotel has 104 rooms and 10 luxury suites, as well as a health club containing a 50-station gym, 20m pool and nine-room spa.
49 LUTON HOO
A fleet of black cabs ferry guests around these expansive grounds here. From the grand, 18th century Wernher Restaurant to vast suites with double height ceilings, rooms are huge. Admittedly, some need a little updating but the modern spa and excellent golf more than make up for it.

Set amid a backdrop of ancient pines and undulating North Lincolnshire heathland, Forest Pines boasts 27 holes of outstanding golf along with a spa retreat and top-class accommodation. The spa has six treatment rooms, a pool, steam room and Jacuzzi.
