US Open golf: Sergio and Tiger share handshake

News & Tour

The feuding golfers finally made up on the driving range at Merion

It seems Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia have finally made up, following an ugly ordeal that involved racist remarks and childish behaviour last month.

The pair have been exchanging handbags for years now, and the feud culminated in Sergio Garcia speaking out at the Players Championship about Woods’ character and his dislike of the World No 1.

A week later, a comment made by the Spaniard was misconstrued as racist by the media and it all boiled over.

Fast-forward a few weeks and it has seemingly all blown over. Indeed, the pairing reportedly shared a brief handshake on the driving range at Merion.

Don’t expect a blossoming bromance or an exchange of Christmas cards just yet…
