Maridoe Golf Club hosted the LIV Golf Dallas event in 2025, which is where the Team Championship was held at the end of the season in 2024.

Ripper GC, made up of Cameron Smith, Marc Leishman, Matt Jones and Lucas Herbert, won the Team Championship on 11-under-par, two shots ahead of 4Aces GC and Iron Heads GC.

The LIV Golf Dallas event was booked in the same week as the Rocket Classic on the PGA Tour at Detroit Golf Club, which had a purse of $9,600,000. Aldrich Potgeiter won this event and pocketed $1,728,000.

Patrick Reed took home the top prize of $4 million at Maridoe after beating Jinichiro Kozuma, Louis Oosthuizen and Paul Casey in a playoff.

So far in the LIV Golf League, a variety of players have starred. Adrian Meronk won the season-opener in Riyadh, Niemann won in Adelaide, and Sergio Garcia won in Hong Kong. Niemann then doubled his tally for 2025 in Singapore, so it has been a super year for the Chilean so far. Bryson DeChambeau won in Korea shortly before playing well at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow again. Niemann won again in Virginia and then of course, Reed took the victory in Dallas.

There was also a DP World Tour event in the same week as LIV Golf Dallas, which was the Italian Open at Argentario GC in Monte Argentario. There was an LPGA Tour event in the same week. This was the Dow Championship at Midland Country Club, which had a purse of $3.3 million and was won by Somi Lee and Jin Hee Im.

While the payouts for LIV Golf events are $20 million, the complete total is $25 million, as there is $5 million divided among the winning teams. The winning team at the LIV Golf Dallas event, for example, DeChambeau’s Crushers, earned $750,000 each, but that is invested back in the team.

The four-man squad in second place, 4Aces, earned $375,000 a piece, and the team in third, Legion XIII, earned $125,000 each, but as we’ve said, this figure gets invested back into the team. It is believed it doesn’t go in the players’ pockets.

The prize money figures and results of LIV Golf’s Dallas event appear below. Let’s examine the purses of the events on the corresponding tours in the same week as well.
