San Lorenzo is one of the more well-known courses in the Algarve. Designed by American golf course architect Joseph Lee, the course is located within the Ria Formosa Estuary and Nature Reserve, with views out over the Atlantic Ocean.

Lee’s design sees the 18-hole lay-out border the Ria Formosa Estuary and its salt water lagoons, with those becoming hazards on several of the holes. The course is laid out in a figure of eight shape, with the clubhouse and golf shop situated at the very heart of the course.

San Lorenzo is the home to a stunning driving range, where the long game can be worked on. There is also a dedicated short game area with a putting green and two chipping areas, one of which has a bunker to practise up and downs from the sand.
