El Saler | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

The Parador de El Saler is a must for golf lovers. It is one of the leading Spanish resorts on the NCG Top 100 European Golf Resorts list, and you can see why from the very start of a stay there. There is a gorgeous hotel, a stunning 18-hole championship golf course and its location is sublime.

The golf course itself is stunning, with Javier Arana having done a wonderful job with the natural surroundings. There is a mix of Mediterranean forest holes and links style holes, with Arana bringing the best of both worlds to the course at El Saler. It is only 6,600 yards long from the back tees, but it provides a stern test.

Its location also means that golfers enjoy stunning views of the Albufera Natural Park and the Mediterranean Sea from the majority of the course. Along with the 18-hole lay-out, there is also a Golf School. A driving range, two approach greens, three putting greens and a glorious clubhouse add to the golfing experience at El Saler.

The hotel itself is a modern building, and also enjoys those same views of the park and the sea, as well as looking out over the golf course. Rooms range from Standard Rooms to Superior Rooms, while there are also Suites for parties who are looking for that added touch of luxury. With a range of restaurants, a conference hall, spa, gym and extensive gardens to wander around of an evening, the Parador de El Saler is a stunning place for a holiday, and especially a golf holiday.

El Saler Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Golf de El Saler

Javier Arana was the man to design and construct the golf course at El Saler, and what a job he did! The Spaniard did so more than five decades ago, making it one of the oldest courses in the region.

Located in the El Saler Natural Park and on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, the golf course beautifully flows through the natural terrain of the region, and provides wonderful views from every tee box.

Its integration into the protected landscape was one of the key things in Arana’s design of the course. The course is split into zones, with links style holes similar to what you would see in the United Kingdom, to some holes that feature the typical Mediterranean forest outlook.

The Par 72 track measures at just over 6,600 yards so it is not the longest course, but it certainly is a test for amateurs and professionals alike.

Parador de El Saler

The Parador de El Saler is the hotel linked to El Saler Golf Club, and sits next to the golf course. It provides a stunning range of accommodation for its guests, with views over the Albufera Natural Park, Mediterranean Sea and the golf course itself.

The modern building has a range of spacious and comfortable rooms and suites, with something for all parties travelling to the region. From Standard Rooms, which have all the amenities that guests would expect, right the way up to Superior Rooms and Suites, the range is glorious, and encompasses modern design with elegance and comfort.
