Away from the golf course, there are a range of activities that the whole family can try out. From having a go on the climbing wall, to archery, tennis and padel, the family can go on hikes and bike tours around the local area to get their exercise in. There are also a range of food and drink courses, including wine harvesting and tasting, pizza making, beekeeping and honey tasting and more.

The Castelfalfi Hotel provides stunning, luxury accommodation, from Prestige Rooms up to Deluxe Suites and private villas. It is also the home to a wonderful spa and wellness centre. Castelfalfi Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

27 Holes Of Stunning Golf

Castelfalfi is the largest golfing venue in the region of Tuscany. The resort is made up of the 18-hole Mountain Course and the 9-hole Lake Course, with the 27 holes testing both the experienced golfers and the amateurs of the game.

Designed by architects Rainer Preißmann and Wilfried Moroder, Castelfalfi Golf Club offers a serene setting to focus on your game, with the holes all weaving seamlessly through the verdant Italian hills.

Mountain Course
The Mountain Course at Castelfalfi is one of the most difficult golf courses in the entire country. It is a highly technical Championship course with steep slopes and enchanting panoramic views towards Castelfalfi’s castle.

It is a demanding course, and measures in at almost 7,000 yards from the back tees as a Par 72. The way that Preißmann and Moroder designed the Mountain Course means that there are no two holes the same. Apart from the par-3s, there is only one hole that is not a dog-leg.

The quirky nature of the course also sees the 5th and 15th tees sit in the same place. The 3rd and 17th tees are of a similar nature. Both nines on the Mountain Course work their way back to the clubhouse, with water in play at both the 9th and 18th greens.

Lake Course
The Lake Course is Castelfalfi’s fun golfing venue. A Par-37, 9-hole course with a fun and charming lay-out, the Lake Course is more suitable to golfers of all levels, compared to the tough test of the Mountain Course.

While playing the Lake Course, golfers can enjoy the vistas that surround the golf club, as the course follows the undulations of the Tuscan hills it sits in. However, the task at hand is not the easiest. The course still measures almost 3,500 yards, with the closing par-5 coming in at more than 560 yards from the tips.

Castelfalfi Golf Academy

Prior to taking on either of the two golf courses at Castelfalfi, guests can spend some time on the range at the Castelfalfi Golf Academy. The Academy is the home to a state of the art driving range, which features covered bays, all of which are heated.

Away from the driving range, there is a wonderful short game area to practise chipping and putting. Castelfalfi has two putting greens, while there is a dedicated chipping green for those delicate greenside shots.

The Academy also offers lessons to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. From those wanting to fine tune their skills, to those golfers who are picking up a club for the first time, the team of professionals at Castelfalfi can help all.

World Class Accommodation

Castelfalfi’s hotel is sublime, a truly luxurious accommodation option. Even the standard rooms - the Prestige - are stunning. They are elegantly furnished with hints of the traditional Tuscan style. Some of the Prestige rooms have a balcony or garden, so guests can immerse themselves in the Tuscan countryside.

There are also Junior Suites and Deluxe Suites, for those who want to separate their living space from the bedroom. The Castelfalfi Grand Suite is the best of the best in the hotel, which guarantees unparalleled elegance. The refined furnishings and precious materials offer the comfort of a classic contemporary style in a spacious and bright environment.

Not only is Castelfalfi the home to a stunning hotel, but there are also a number of incredible villas that you can stay in during your time in Tuscany.
