What's in the bag



WHEREVER I play around the world I know that amateur golfers are always keen to see what clubs we pros have in our bags.

Well, in actual fact many of the clubs themselves will be familiar to anyone who has been looking round a well-stocked pro shop recently. The difference really comes when you start talking shafts and set-ups.

As you'll see, all of my shafts are of the extra-stiff variety -  but that’s because I'm a young, athletic guy and pretty strong.

Please don't think they'll automatically work for you just because they do for me!

I'm also a fan of thicker grips than many of you will be familiar with - in fact I have four extra layers of tape under my woods and irons, with just the three on my wedges In all cases they are Lamkin full-cord grips.

In the bag

Driver: Titleist 905R 8.5˚ (Speeder 757 X-flex shaft)
Three wood: Ping G5 15˚ (Aldila VS-Proto 80 X-flex shaft)
Irons: Titleist 695MB (2-9, Dynamic Gold X100, 3/4” longer than standard)
Wedges : Titleist Vokey Design (48, 54)
