I DIDN’T think I was going to like this – but then I tried it and just couldn’t help it!
The grip is excellent, although it feels very small, and the club feels incredibly light and quite flexible (definitely not my remit!).
But the results were superb!
It does sit slightly closed at address, so unless I made a conscious effort to square the clubface – or even held it a touch open – I finished on the left side of the fairway every time.
However, if you have a touch of the left to rights, this will counteract that ball flight effortlessly.
It hits a perfect draw every time, and the length was very impressive.
The loft of 12˚ is too high for me, but the hang time was excellent, and I was astonished how far the ball carried. If you are looking for more height from your driver, this will deliver, thanks to a strategically positioned inner weight system, which gives a lower and deeper centre of gravity.
Yonex’s Nanoscience promises increased impact speeds and improved accuracy for longer straighter more consistent drives – and they are not exaggerating!
