TOUR: Rose Launches BMW PGA

EUROPE's reigning Order of Merit Champion, Justin Rose, officially launched the 2008 BMW PGA Championship when he teed off from the roof of the O2 Arena, formerly known as the Millenium Dome.

The extremely talented Englishman stood 50 metres atop the arena on an artificial tee and was photographed slashing balls into the distance with his big-dog.

The occasion was one to remember for Rose, who whilst with both feet firmly on the ground said "I've played golf in some amazing locations throughout the world, but this definitely has to be one to remember."

After missing out in a play-off at Wentworth in 2007, Rose is more determined than ever to win on the course he holds in such high regard, but realises how tough a task it could turn out to be. "The BMW PGA Championship means a great deal to me." he said.

"It was a tournament I came to watch many times as a child and it would be a dream to win. The field looks as tough as ever, and with Ryder Cup qualification at stake, it¹s set to be a great week¹s golf."

It sure is, and with a €750,000 first prize, all the top players will be gunning for the title, so make sure you take a look at our Fantasy Golf Preview and ensure all your side are taking part in this illustrious tournament that starts this Thursday (22nd May 2008)
