Designed by CK Cotton, this parkland course from 1967 on the side of the Usk valley is defined by mature trees. Cradoc enjoys tranquil natural surroundings inhabited by lots of wildlife while the views on front nine particularly are breathtaking. It is defended by mature trees lining the fairways as well as the occasional water hazard and sloping greens. It is challenging for all abilities without being brutal and there are a good mixture of holes, ranging from long dog-legs to short par 3s with water.
Set on the northern side of the Usk valley some two miles from the charming town of Brecon in Mid Wales, every hole enjoys views of the north slopes of the 'Beacons'.
The course is noted for its natural surroundings, including mature tree-lined fairways and an occasional water hazard. The 3rd hole, a short par 3, has been featured in a television advertisement while three holes, the 7th, 8th and 9th, were remodelled to eliminate a strenuous climb.
