Clitheroe promises their visitors a warm welcome as well as the opportunity to play on a magnificent golf course. It is also the venue for many prestigious county, regional and national events including the Regional Open Qualifier. It is a flat course, ever popular with seniors, but nonetheless a challenging course for all level of golfers.

They cater for large and small visiting parties from Sunday to Friday in the recently refurbished clubhouse. The golf operations team at Clitheroe Golf Club, along with first-class chefs and extensive menus, ensure a memorable society or corporate day.

There is a fully stocked halfway house situated behind the 9th green and the starters hut at the first tee. If you wish to use this during your visit please contact Sue Broadley to make the necessary arrangements.

Please note that during the winter period winter mats will be in operation on all fairways. Power trolleys must have winter wheels and buggies may not be available. Please inform all your party to avoid disappointment.

Clitheroe Golf Club is regarded as one of the top courses in Lancashire, it plays host to many county and regional events.

The course has been improved and extended over the years and now measures 6532 yards from the Blue Tees. The course is relatively flat and easy walking, and all the greens have been reconstructed to USGA specification providing firm and true putting surfaces all year round.

The recently re-modelled 5th Hole is reputed to be the best Par 3 in the North West of England and is a challenging test for all levels of golfers.

Three extensive practice areas allow golfers to sharpen their skills for the challenges the course will demand. In addition, a new covered 10-bay driving range, with teaching bay and swing room was opened in 2021. The views from the course are quite spectacular over the fells of Longridge and Waddington, providing the backdrop to Stonyhurst College and the medieval Mitton Church.

This stunning James Braid parkland course is in the picturesque Ribble Valley with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. It is a previous regional open qualifying course and a 2026 England Golf Championship venue. Excellent practice facilities and driving range.
