Get the body working

A simple drill to improving your leg action

Legs, speed and plane workout

This is a very simple method to improving the body action – something done wrong by so many golfers. With the club behind the shoulders and standing in the address position, rotate the body back and through. The key is to make sure the head of the club returns to the same place at impact as the butt was at the top of the backswing. This drill allows you to work on numerous aspects of the swing, from improving leg action, increasing body speed as well as keeping the shoulders turning on the same plane.

Lateral damage

Too often you see players moving too laterally, either with their legs or their upper half. This won’t do you any good as you’re getting ready to tee off.
