Don't spill a drop with this chipping tip

Up your nostril

There are times when you need to play a shot that might seem to go up your left nostril! Whether it’s hitting a shot over a tree, or out of a deep bunker, or you just want to show off to your mates, the high drop shot is a real asset. Try this. Bend your knees much more than usual and swing the club around your body, almost on your waist line. The most important thing is to hold the clubface open.

Glass half full

I want you to imagine that you have a glass of wine balancing on your club face and you don’t want to spill a drop. Try and keep that glass full for as long as possible.

Glass half empty

It is all too easy to thin or fat it if you try and scoop the ball in the air with your lower hand.
