Add a fade to your game

Moving the ball from left to right

Left of centre

When faced with a pin cut on the right side of the green a fade is definitely the smart shot. Aim left of the target with your feet, hips and shoulders BUT keep the club pointing at the hole. Also, position the ball a couple of inches further forward in the stance.

Flatter plane

At the top of the backswing your back should still be pointing directly at the target but look to have your right elbow closer to your side to encourage a flatter path.

Swing as normal

A big thing to remember with this shot is to trust the changes that you have made in your set-up. There is no need to try and open up the clubface at impact.

Club up

The club should follow the line of your set-up and therefore, with an out-to-in swing path, the ball will start left and move right. It is important to remember that the shot will not travel as far as normal and will stop quickly on landing.
