Perform under pressure

How to hole out when it really matters

By Foremost professional Tim Hall

Set up the clock face

To start, position 10 balls around the hole three feet away from the cup, almost like a clock face. Mark each one with a tee or a coin so you can replace them if you miss.

On-course mindset

Make your way around the circle and treat every putt with the greatest care. Pretend you are out on the course and go through your pre-shot routine with every one. If you miss, you must start again.

Coping with pressure

As you make your way around the loop, the pressure begins to build and this will prepare you both mentally and physically for clutch putts on the course.
