The Travelers Championship is a Signature Event on the PGA Tour schedule, which means it has an almighty purse to come with it.
There was a $20 million prize purse up for grabs at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut, $3.6 million of which went to the winner – Keegan Bradley.
Tommy Fleetwood led for the entire final round, but three-putted the final green in heart-breaking fashion, while Bradley made a birdie to seal his eighth PGA Tour win.
The best players on the circuit competed as we approach a part of the season that features Signature Events and even more major championships.
Last year and this year, the winner of the Travelers Championship earned a cool $3.6 million, a little less than the amount of money you win if you finish top of the leaderboard at a LIV Golf event, which is $4 million. This is what the winner receives at a player-hosted Signature Event on the PGA Tour in 2025.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Memorial and the Genesis Invitational are the player-hosted Signature Events that have 36-hole cuts and give away 20% of the purse to the tournament winner.
Since Xander Schauffele won this event in 2022, the purse has more than doubled. Cantlay won $1,494,000 of the $8,300,000 purse. This is a sign of professional golf’s direction of travel.
Some of the best players in the world have won this event in the last 15 years. Scheffler, Schauffele, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth have all tasted success in Cromwell.
Here is the Signature Event schedule for the 2025 PGA Tour season. The Players Championship is not a Signature Event but offers 750 FedEx Cup points for the winner and a total purse of $25 million.
