Gemma Dryburgh is the leading Scotswoman in the professional game, with an LPGA Tour win and Solheim Cup appearance to her name.

Dryburgh was born in Aberdeen and made the decision to focus on golf in her teenage years, moving to train at the IMG Academy in Florida. She then went on to study at Tulane University, and played for the Tulane side for five years in collegiate golf.

The Scot turned professional in 2015, grabbing her first victory on the ALPG Tour two years later. She won three times on the Rose Ladies Series over a two-year period following the reintroduction of golf into the United Kingdom after the COVID-19 pandemic. Dryburgh secured her maiden LPGA Tour title in 2022, winning the Toto Ladies Classic in Japan.

Dryburgh was selected as a captain’s pick for the 2023 Solheim Cup by Team Europe captain Suzann Pettersen. Her appearance was the first at the bi-ennial women’s team event by a Scot since Catriona Matthew made her last appearance in 2017.
