The greatest 75 of all time? Another scorecard that needs to be seen to be believed
It seems ludicrous to put ‘75’ and ‘greatest’ in the same sentence, but nothing surprises us anymore when it comes to a ludicrous golf scorecard.
In a classic case of ‘hold my beer’, Cameron Starr produced the ultimate display of grit and determination to rebound from the worst possible start and card a round for the ages.
Don’t believe us, just take a look at these numbers for yourself…
Cameron Starr’s incredible golf scorecard:
Now we’ve seen plenty of topsy turvy rounds in the world of tour golf, but this one just seems to defy logic.
As you can see from the scorecard, brought to us courtesy of Ryan French of The Firepit Collective, Starr was an 11-over through just five holes, which included a quadruple bogey on the par-5 5th at the Florida Club.
At this point, you’re thinking there can only be two outcomes: WD, or triple-digit catastrophe.
But no, Starr then turned on the heat from out of nowhere.
Five birdies and one eagle in an eight-hole stretch saw the 22-year-old produce the most remarkable fightback to eventually card a 75, proving that not all greatness comes in the form of a 66.
Remember this one next time you’re ready to pack it all in on the front-nine of your monthly medal…
