Salobre Overview | NCG Top 100s: European Golf Resorts

Salobre Golf

Salobre Golf Course is the only golf course in Gran Canaria that offers three loops of 9 to create a 27-hole golfing paradise. The New and The Old Course can merge to feature three different loops by combining the Old Course’s 18 holes and the 9 holes of the Par-36 New Course.

1999 saw the opening of the Old Course at Salobre. Designed by Roland Favré, the Par 71 Championship lay-out has hosted several important events, including the Spanish PGA Championship in 2006.

The New Course at Salobre was built in 2008, and a decade later, new tees were introduced to up the level of the venue. Due to the natural environment, the New Course resembles British links courses. It might be shorter, but it still provides a tough test for golfers.

From the summer of 2022, David William has been in charge of a comprehensive modernisation of the property. New tees have been introduced, along with new bunkers, rough areas and other improvements.
