Ten of the 18 holes feature water hazards, with some of that showing from the very start. The par 5 11th is one of the best holes on the course and has an incredible array of 15 bunkers sitting in front of the green. There is also a stunning practice facility with a driving range and short game area, which houses three greens built to USGA-specification.

The characteristic country hotel offers accommodation in a variety of forms. There are rooms and suites in the Manor House and Stables, along with a choice of 28 offerings in the Estate House. Meldrum House Overview | NCG Top 100s: GB&I Golf Resorts

Knights Golf Course

The Knights Golf Course at Meldrum House is a great parkland design by Graeme Webster, one that reaches 7,000 yards from the back tees. Don’t be alarmed, as there are five tees to choose from to make sure your game is enjoyable, but keep an eye out for the water, which comes into play on ten holes.

That water appears on the 1st with a large hazard sitting in front of the green. The dog-leg right par 4 2nd also features water on its right side while the 3rd might not have water, but it is a 240-yard par 3 from the back tees. The 5th is the longest hole on the property at more than 610 yards but does not feature any water hazards. 7, 8, 9 and 10 all feature water hazards, before you get to the sublime 11th.

As a par 5 at 550 yards long, it doesn’t scream that there is anything different about it. However, there are 15 small bunkers in front of the green, supplying an incredible viewpoint from the fairway. The 17th is a risk-reward short par 4. Measuring 300 from the back tees, the green is in reach for the longer hitters, but there are five bunkers short, trees right and the water hazard on the 18th around 20 yards behind the green. 18 is a downhill par 3 over water which takes you back to the clubhouse.
