The clubs Rose used to shoot a sublime 64 at Carnoustie

Justin Rose shot his best-ever round at a major with a bag full of TaylorMade clubs...

Justin Rose WITB. The Englishman shot his best-ever major round and the best seen in an Open at Carnoustie with a 64 on Saturday.

He put on a masterclass of ball striking and holed his fair share of putts to storm up the leaderboard after making the cut on the number.

His round included seven birdies with no dropped shots including a birdie-birdie finish on two of the toughest closing holes in championship golf.

Rose uses the TaylorMade M3 driver and M4 fairway woods before a couple of P790 long irons.

Justin Rose WITBWe first saw the Rose Proto irons last year which are a slightly modified version of the new P730. The Rose Proto were created with input from the player himself.

Justin Rose WITBRory McIlroy has his Rors Proto and Johnson the DJ Proto but it’s Johnson’s irons which are the closest to the models available to members of the public.

Justin ROse WITBRose uses the bladed Rose Proto from 4-9 with a P790 2 and 3 iron for a bit more power and forgiveness.

One of the key factors behind Rose rediscovering his form has definitely the way he has looked more assured on the greens.

Justin ROse WITBThere was a bit of a merry-go-round with Rose’s putter last year as he’s used a few from the new TaylorMade TP Red Collection.

But he has settled on the Ardmore 2.

Justin Rose WITBHis wedges are the TaylorMade Milled Grind with a Hi-Toe lob wedge and he plays the TaylorMade TP5 ball.
