WITB: Danny Willett, Dubai Desert Classic
Callaway Staff Professional Danny Willett holed a brilliant clutch putt on the final green at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic to claim his fourth PGA European Tour title in dramatic fashion.
Leading a stellar field heading into the final day’s play at Emirates Golf Club, Willett put total trust in a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey equipment, including a new XR 16 Driver, XR 16 Fairway Woods and Odyssey Versa #1 Wide Putter, to shoot a 3-under par 69, enough to earn him that elusive ‘W’.
The win for Willett pushed him up to 13th in the official world golf rankings, just one place behind Hideki Matsuyama, who won the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
