More about Trump Turnberry
The Turnberry Hotel, which opened in 1906, overlooks the resort’s famous links courses. Recently refurbished in 2016, every part of this exceptional hotel has been lovingly transformed. You will enjoy a stay in one of the newly renovated rooms, plus breakfast the following morning.
Situated on the Ayrshire coast, Trump Turnberry is located just one hour from Glasgow and is famed for its exceptional golfing experiences. Home to the Ailsa course, home of four Open Championships, King Robert the Bruce is the newest addition to this golfer’s paradise.
Turnberry is a destination steeped in history and heritage. The iconic Turnberry lighthouse was built by the family of celebrated author, Robert Louis Stevenson, and it sits on top of the ruins of Turnberry Castle. It was in this medieval castle that King Robert the Bruce was born in July 1274. Later becoming the King of Scotland, this historical warrior led Scotland to claim its right as an independent country in the Battle of Bannockburn in June 1314.
Martin Ebert, who was the architect responsible for the reborn Ailsa, was commissioned once more to create this world class golf experience which is already garnering rave reviews since its opening.
