VIDEO: Callaway introduce new Chrome Soft golf ball

Phil Mickelson insists Chrome Soft is Callaway's best golf ball to date

Callaway have introduced the Chrome Soft golf ball which offers golfers maximum distance and exceptional feel – at an affordable price.

Staff player Phil Mickelson thinks Chrome Soft is the company’s best ball to date and can help golfers of all abilities.

The Chrome Soft offers Low spin off the driver for maximum ball speed and distance with the SoftFast Core.

The core is the key to long, straight distance off the tee, and optimised HEX Aerodynamics makes Chrome Soft even longer by reducing drag and increasing lift.

The low 65 compression lets golfers compress the ball on iron shots for incredibly soft feel.

Callaway insist the Chrome Soft will allow golfers to compress the ball like a Tour player.

A high level of control for aggressive shots into the green comes from soft feel and the Tour Urethane Cover.

The Mantle Layer Helps retain the energy stored in the core, which translates to faster ball speeds while the softest, most durable cover grips the clubface for excellent control into and around the green.

Mickelson is very excited by the new ball but says the only problem is keeping his friends and family stocked up with Chrome Soft.

“When I gave it to my dad he goes out and shoots the best round he’s played all year,” Mickelson said.

“And he comes back and says he hasn’t been this excited about playing golf and now he’s calling me and we’re playing on Friday – he’s like I’m so excited to play.”

Available: January 16, 2015
SRP: £29.99
