1. Points List

Players will earn points in 2019 and 2020, but each year will work very differently.

In 2019, players will earn 1 point towards their Ryder Cup qualification for every $1,000 earned at each of the four majors.

They will also earn 1 point for every $2,000 earned at the four World Golf Championship events as well as the Players Championship.

In 2020, players will have the chance to pick up points on a weekly basis.

Players will receive 1 point for every $1,000 earned in regular PGA Tour events and WGCs in the calendar year up to and including the BMW Championship, which concludes on August 23, 2020.

There are no Ryder Cup points available for opposite field PGA Tour events, such as the Puerto Rico Open.

Additionally, players that make the cut at the four majors will receive 1.5 points for every $1,000 earned, while the winner will receive 2 points for every $1,000 earned.

2. Captain’s picks

After the qualification process ends, captain Stricker will have four wildcard selections to fill his team.

These picks will be made on September 1, 2020, after the conclusion of the season-ending Tour Championship.
