Tour Championship betting preview
We’re back to the infamous East Lake Golf Club for the finale of the PGA Tour season, where 30 players will battle it out for the Tour Championship and the $10m FedEx Cup bonus prize.
The top-five in the FedEx Cup standings are guaranteed to take away the $10m if they win this week, so step forward Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, Tony Finau, Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas who are all in that golden position.
However, mathematically speaking, every player in the field still holds a chance of taking away the bonus prize – even the 30th ranked Patton Kizzire.
He would need to win and a whole host of permutations to go his way, such as the No.1, Bryson DeChambeau, to finish T29 or worse…
With it being such a limited field, you may have thought that the cream tends to rise to the top.

A player from outside of the top-23 in the world rankings has contended each year in the past five years, with Schauffele springing the biggest surprise just last year as he went on to stun Justin Thomas to win the tournament.

Tom is a lifetime golfer, now over 30 years playing the game. 2023 marks 10 years in golf publishing and he is still holding down a + handicap at Alwoodley in Leeds. He has played over 600 golf courses, and has been a member of at least four including his first love Louth, in Lincolnshire. Tom likes unbranded clothing, natural fibres, and pencil bags. Seacroft in Lincolnshire is where it starts and ends.
