Another player who will be wanting to carry through is momentum into 2017 is Paul Casey. Like Matsuyama, Casey finished 2016 strong and finished fourth in the FedEx Cup but he failed to win an event.

It was the Englishman’s performances in the play-offs that catapulted him into the top five places. Casey finished second at the Deutsche Bank Championship and BMW Championship before finishing fourth in the season finale Tour Championship.

The former Arizona State student will be looking to finally break his major duck in 2017 having failed to win one in his 17 year professional career.
