Tiger Woods out of Genesis Open and Honda Classic
The 14-time major champion withdrew from last week’s Dubai Desert Classic with back spasms.
Tiger Woods’ comeback is on hold. (Again.)
The 14-time major will not play at the Genesis Open or the Honda Classic due to the ongoing back spasms that saw him pull out of last week’s Dubai Desert Classic.
Making the announcement on his official website, Woods said: “My doctors have advised me not to play the next two weeks, to continue my treatment and to let my back calm down.
“This is not what I was hoping for or expecting. I am extremely disappointed to miss the Genesis Open, a tournament that benefits my foundation, and the Honda Classic, my hometown event.”
Woods’ next event will be decided after his back is reassessed.
