The top three golf courses in Las Vegas

Summary

Las Vegas is known as the entertainment capital of the world, with a plethora of fantastic casinos, hotels, and restaurants. The casinos are arguably the biggest draw, and you can get in the mood for a weekend of gambling by playing Casumo’s huge online slot selection. However, there is a lot to enjoy away from the casinos and there are plenty of world class golf courses. Below you will find a roundup of the top 3 golf courses in Las Vegas.

There are over 50 golf courses within an hour of the Strip and TPC Las Vegas is perhaps the pick of the bunch. Situated 20 minutes to the north-west of the Strip, the views from this golf course are spectacular, with the Red Rock National Park in close proximity. Some of the canyons even come into play on the golf course, especially the back nine holes. When stepping onto the first tee, it easy to see why TPC Las Vegas has been used by the PGA Tour and you can follow in the footsteps of some of the game’s greatest players.

Las Vegas is home to some great replicas of locations around the world. The Venetian Resort is a good example and you will find a stunning reproduction of St. Mark’s Square along with the opportunity to ride the canals in a gondola. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant is housed in a building based on the tower in Paris but in terms of the golf courses, the Royal Links Golf Club does a tremendous job of bringing the links courses of the United Kingdom to Las Vegas.

Royal Links Golf Club features holes that are modelled on holes used in the Open Championship. You can play the famous par 3 Postage Stamp at Royal Troon and the Road Hole from the Old Course at St Andrews. The Castle style clubhouse is a remarkable sight and, on each hole, you will find information about historic moments. There are even monuments situated around the course detailing special moments in the history of the Open Championship. Royal Links Golf Club is only 20 minutes away from the main strip and you will have a wonderful time testing yourself on the leading holes in the history of the Open Championship.

Finally, we come to Shadow Creek Golf Club and when this was built in 1994, it was one of the most expensive golf courses in the world, costing around $60 million to construct. Not long after opening, Shadow Creek Golf Club entered the top 10 golf courses in the United States and it remains one of the best venues for a round of golf in Las Vegas. The course played host to the 2021 Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play and the famous 2018 match between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Shadow Creek Golf Club was initially a private club but has since opened to the public. However, it remains one of the most exclusive golf courses in the US thanks to the $600 green fee.
